The Challenge
To convert small area of lawn bounded by a house, a large garage, a parking area and a decommissioned quarry into a backyard escape
The Solution
Working with St. Lawrence Pools, one of the most skilled swimming pool builders in the area, we positioned the pool as the centrepiece of the composition.
The spa that spills into the pool is nestled into an upper lounge area that affords a view over the pool and out onto the rugged, yet beautiful, rock edges of the quarry.
An ornamental Western Red Cedar screen was positioned to filter views of the garage and parking area. Both sections of the screen converge at a Pavilion on the upper terrace that offers an escape from the hot summer sun, while casting an eye over the pool and vista beyond.
When the sun goes down the outdoor fireplace is the final destination to top off a perfect day at a resort mere steps from the door.
