The Challenge
The necessary removal of a mature pine opens up an ugly dead space in a natural backyard oasis.
The Solution
After removal of excess chippings and poor quality soil a large flat rock was fully exposed and relocated to become the central piece of the area. Additional oversize flagstone pieces were located to complement the central stone and create a sufficient size area to accommodate a table and 2 chairs.
Other ornamental boulders were placed as accents with the balance being planted to tie in with the rest of the garden.
The result: a cozy spot for a glass of wine at the end of a hectic day.
